Settlers of Catan
I just played Settlers of Catan for the first time. Two games. I won both. Taste it Bryan and Jim. Taste it, losers. Newfish took you!
What? You expected something better? Taste my mediocrity, world!

So, I am outside my comfort zone at a bar. Suck. Oh well. Having fun, anyway. -ish
Our little systems have their day;
They have their day and cease to be:
They are but broken lights of thee,
And thou, O Lord, art more than they. We have but faith: we cannot know;
For knowledge is of things we see;
And yet we trust it comes from thee,
A beam in darkness: let it grow.
I remember playing TMNT, watching Robotech, debating comics, and piggyback jousting. I remember his humor, his patience with me, and the half-moons when his patience wore out.
I haven't seen him in years, and I will still miss him.
All last week and even a bit this week, I've been tired. I think it has to do with stress, though work stress isn't so bad right now.
Perhaps, I'm being slowly poisoned by Bryan. He would totally roofie me to have his foul way. Before I sucumb to his lust-driven roofie plot, I should booby trap my anus with dirty bamboo shards like a Vietnamese tiger trap. That'll teach him!
As a side note, I'd like to thank the Internet for existing—without which, I would have no place to post my theories about Bryan's lustful depravities and my dirty bamboo shard retaliation.
We had lots of fun at last night's UFC party. There were some streaming signal issues in the beginning, but they mostly resolved it by the middle of the second fight. It was looking pretty bad at first, though.
Matt bought himself a spiffy new hat that looks so gay or, as they would call it in the 1930s when he bought the hat, "light in the loafers" or "as a confirmed bachelor".
I had a few people from work come over for UFC 124 last night. We had lots of fun. I streamed the event in HD from UFC.com. Not bad, really! The video and audio quality were pretty tight.
As is the norm lately, I headed out to the bar with friends to watch UFC. Tonights fights weren't that great, but Matt made it out, and Christine was back from Florida. That was good. :)
A while back, Matt and I worked on a java app that would take a character from the Wizard’s Character Creator online and spit out a character sheet printable on Avery Business Card stock for easy maintenance, use, and portability. I like it. We’ve kind of taken a break from it, but it works already and others may find it useful. Other java devs who want to join the fun can ask to join the Google Code project. Players who just want a solution that allows them to quit painstakingly cutting out those power cards (print to business card stock and they pop out easily and cleanly) should download it right away.
